Description

Meet Owen, a 4-year-old, 14-pound Chihuahua mix who is still getting comfortable in the shelter and would love a chance to blossom in a home of his own!

  • Sweet and Gentle: Owen warms up to treats and pets when given time to approach at his own pace. Once comfortable, he allows handling and being picked up.
  • A Little Shy: New situations and quick approaches can make him nervous. He appreciates gentle introductions and a calm environment where he can build confidence.
  • Small-Dog Roommate: Owen currently shares a kennel and attends playgroups with other small male dogs.
  • Ready to Blossom: Owen is still adjusting to shelter life, so his personality may continue to shine as he feels safer and more settled.

Owen is looking for a patient, loving home that will let him settle in at his own pace. A calmer household without young children may be the best fit while he builds confidence. Give this little guy some time and kindness, and you may discover a wonderful companion!
